Missing Links | Golf Club Review and Critique

Golf Digest by Hank Haney

If you could review every average player's bag and switch one piece of equipment, what would it be?

Billy Lloyd, Birmingham, Ala.

The biggest development I see people missing in golf today are hybrid clubs. They need them; they make the game so much easier. If you have a relatively slow swing speed, you shouldn't have anything more than a 6-iron in your bag. Hybrids are easier clubs to hit. They're more forgiving. And they get the ball in the air. They have no downside.

Haney, voted No. 4 by his peers in Golf Digest's ranking of America's 50 Greatest Teachers, owns seven golf school/practice facilities in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin areas.

We will do anything possible to help you find the set of clubs that work perfectly for you.
