Golf Club Critique and Review

Tommy Armour Golf Clubs

The life of Tommy Armour was one of many Tommy Armour golf clubspassions and a single overriding addiction — the game of golf. The legendary “Silver Scot” fervently believed that details, tricks and complexities needlessly complicated the game and the golfer. Simplicity, concentration, economy of effort — and most importantly, a genuine love of the game — provided the true path to excelling on the links.

Drivers

  • Ayrtime Driver Click here- Each Ayrtime driver is designed with the weight low and back in the club head to hit the ball higher, and a movable 25-gram weight to pre-determine the ball flight curvature you want, without altering your swing. Choose from High-, Mid- or Tour-Launch heads. Shafts available in men's regular and stiff, senior and women's flexes. Before long you have the lads whistling a verse or two of Amazing Grace when you step up to the tee.
  • Torch Driver Click here- The Rolled-Face technology makes this deep-faced driver incredibly easy to hit; the 460cc Beta Titanium head design is highly forgiving on miss-hits; the lightweight, Saber&trade shaft technology enhances swing speeds for more distance. Now that's a friend, indeed.

Fairway Woods

  • Torch Fairway Woods Click here- Torch Fairway Woods are built with an oversized head design, deep center-of-gravity and a beveled leading edge that glides through the turf for smooth and solid contact, giving you more stability, higher launch, better spin control and more forgiveness. Especially from the greenskeeper.

Irons

  • Torch Iron Woods Click here- Whether on the tee or in the turf, the lower center-of-gravity, medium-weight Saber graphite shafts and oversized head design in our Torch iron-woods will provide the forgiveness, stability and high launch trajectories you seek, while minimizing slicing and digging on fairway shots.
  • Morph Irons Click here- As strong a man as Tommy Armour was, he believed no one's fortitude should be unduly challenged by the rigors of water, sand, gorse or heather. So goes the thinking behind our new Morph™ Irons, the first production clubs to use three unique head designs and three Rifle Flighted shaft technologies within a single set of irons. Morph Irons offer a profound level of trajectory control around the course. And as every golfer worth his oats knows, if you can control your trajectory, you control your game.
  • Silver Scot Cavity Backs Click here- New Silver Scot Cavity Backs are muscleback forgings that have more mass below the equator of the ball to deliver higher-flying shots and a new level of forgiveness in forged cavity-back irons.
  • Silver Scot Tour Blades Click here- New Silver Scot Tour blades are muscleback forgings that have more mass below the equator of the ball. In addition to being easy to hit, these irons make "working the ball" easier than ever before for golfers with repeating swings.

Wedges

  • Silver Scot Wedges Click here- The perfect complement to wonderful irons is a perfectly matched set of classic wedges. New Tommy Armour Silver Scot wedges feature profiles that are the exact match to both Silver Scot blades and cavity back forged irons – leading-edge technology packaged in a classically styled club.
  • Pro Spin Wedges Click here- New Pro Spin wedges feature High Launch and Tour Launch versions. The objective of moving mass from the rear of each club was to better control launch for desired trajectory, distance and spin characteristics. Both High Launch and Tour Launch come in 52° Gap, 56° Sand and 60° Lob models.

Putters

  • EFT Putters Click here- The EFT Series putter is offered in eight unique head designs all made from 303 stainless steel with soft aluminum face inserts — an industry first.
  • Arrowmark Putters Click here- A unique bronze "A" alignment aid, five-piece metal construction to move weight rearward and heel-to-toe weighting deliver superior accuracy and feel.
  • P-117 Putter Click here-The P-117 is designed with a lightweight aluminum platform and features three steel pillars, one behind the face for solid impacts, two at the rear to improve MOI performance. The unique alignment aid helps golfers "point the putter face" through the impact point with the ball and on to the intended path of the putt, a feature particularly helpful on breaking putts.
